There appears to be two George Stickel (Stickle)'s born in the late 1700's in Virginia. This George was born in Virginia and later moved to West Virginia and had 4 children. George's father is a Jacob Stickel but little is known about him or his spouse.

One of his children "Nicolas Stickel" moved to Iowa and settled there. His other son John Henry moved to Ohio. There is no known European roots for this line.
