Woolen, Shirley Joan, 76, past Girl Scout leader and longtime active member of Immanuel Baptist Church passed away Feb. 1, 2011. Shirley's survivors are husband David of nearly 59 yrs.; daughters Shirley Ann (Don) Carbon of Wichita, Janet L. (Perry) Duncan of Derby; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Viewing is Friday 12 to 8 pm at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 10:00 am Saturday, Feb. 5 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to Victory in The Valley or Immanuel Baptist Building Fund.

Woolen, David E., 81, Retired Koch Engineer-Expeditor, joined his beloved wife in heaven January 21, 2013. Preceded by wife Shirley Woolen; brother Harold Woolen; and Granddaughter Ahna Pollock. Survived by daughters Janet (Perry) Duncan and Shirley Ann (Don) Carbon both of Wichita; brother Doral (Donna) Woolen of Washington State; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 followed by Funeral service at 3:00 p.m. both at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Harden Hospice Kansas 2622 W. Central Ave. Suite 501 Wichita, KS 67203.
