OBITUARY

Cary F. Farmer, 54, former resident of Newark and Grandville, died Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mercy Hospital Mt. Vernon following a week's serious illness. He had been in failing health the past year. Mr. Farmer resided at 920 West High St., Mt. Vernon. He was born in Mary Ann township , Licking county, Jan. 10, 1891, the son of Newton and Addie Farmer. He had been in the employ of Mt. Vernon for more than 36 years.

Surviving are his widow,the former Myrtle Lee, whom he married May 6, 1911; four sons and four daughters; James and Vernon of Mt. Vernon, Donald Farmer, U. S. Navy, Lowell at the home, Mrs. Park Ridgeway and Miss Imogene Farmer of Newark, Mrs. Beulah Hoadley of Old Hickory, Tenn., and Mrs James Steele of Mt. Vernon; also seven grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Farmer of St. Louisville; two brothers, Lester Farmer of Utica, Robert Farmer of Newark; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Elbon of Columbus, and Mrs. Gail Popham of Utica.

The deceased was a member of the Eagles lodge of Mt. Vernon. Friday at noon the body will be brought to the Household funeral home here and service will be held in the funeral home at 2:30p. m. Rev. W. H. Koppe will officiate and burial will made in Barnes cemetery.
